President’s Day a Time to Relax and Crash

Sometimes it’s good to be out of work especially when your kids are out of school for the day.  President’s Day is rarely a day off celebrated by most employers so I was lucky — if you call it luck — to have the day off with my children.

On the downside, it was raining so we didn’t do much but make some chocolate-chip cookies which turned out somewhat burnt, but good nonetheless.

We played Monopoly and Sarah was the Banker.  Britney had a monopoly on Boardwalk so we had to take out loans everytime we landed on her property.  Eventually we broke bank — just like real life — and had to ask the Federal Reserve to back our notes.

It’s funny that these kids actually know what’s going on during this economic collaspe while we parents tend to ignore and put our heads in the sand.  I would recommend Dr. Martenson’s crash course if your head is still in the sand.  After you figure out what how much your money is worth, you can start a Presidential coin collection to display your worthless coins.
